Kombu is a fingering weight cowl that draws in a bit, but doesn't feel like a turtleneck.  It is light enough to wear indoors or in early spring if you use a cozy yarn.  Pattern includes directions for a crocheted cast-on, if you like the cast on and bind off to have a similar appearance.
